Scope of
Project:
This new 25,200 square foot fleet maintenance facility was
constructed for Sumter Electric Cooperative, Inc. The new
building has two functions. The primary function is a
maintenance garage and a truck wash facility for the power
company’s vehicles. The open garage part of the project contains
two floor lifts and two overhead cranes. It contains a
state-of-art fluid dispensing system for the automotive fluids
used in the garage. The other function of the building will be
for support offices for the garage. The building also contains a
redundant computer center for SECO’s entire operation. The
building is constructed of a 20,200 square foot slab on grade
with masonry to 13’-4’ above finish floor. Above this height,
metal building wall panels are used. The building also includes
a 5,000 square foot, steel mezzanine constructed of beams and
composite deck. |
