Scope
of Project: This $5.8 million adult activity community
center is located within an existing 57 acre active park in
Orlando, Florida. The space includes multiple classrooms,
computer room, fitness center, catering kitchen, multiple
offices, library, billiards room, and a large ballroom with a
stage. The interior finishes feature nicely hand crafted,
built-in cabinetry and trim throughout. The building also
features a beautiful hardwood dance floor in the ballroom with
multiple lighting layouts and a decorative ceiling. The building
was constructed using concrete wall panels with a structural
steel roof frame. The panels were finished with paint and EIFS
trim. The site work for the project included 150 lighted parking
spaces, a large retention pond and extensive landscaping. This
is the fifth project R.D. Michaels has completed for Orange
County. We are proud of the fact that we were able to complete
the project a month ahead of the Owner’s schedule.
