Scope
of Project: Orange County chose
R.D. Michaels, Inc. to build its new 5,000 square foot fire
station’s replacement facility located in Apopka, Florida. The
first phase of the project included the procurement and
placement of a new temporary fire station that the firefighters
could operate out of during the construction of the new
facility. Upon placement of the temporary structure, the
existing portable fire station was demolished and construction
began on the new updated facility. The new structure was
constructed of tilt-up concrete wall panels with a structural
steel roof frame system. The interior of the new facility
provides comfortable living
quarters and two (2)
apparatus bays for the firefighters. The project also included
site development. This is R.D. Michaels’ fifth project for
Orange County.
